Windows 7 has five different theme sets and wallpapers based on different regions of the world. Your PC will come pre-loaded with the theme set for the area closest to where you live.
If you want to change your Theme set to something more exotic, it’s not hard to do so. You can find these "hidden" files by clicking on your "C" drive and typing "globalization" in the search window at the top of the page. When that opens, click on the results. Then, type "MCT" in the search box. The five folders – America, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, and Canada – will then be listed. You may want to change the look of your desktop from time to time, and if you know how to find them, your computer already contains a good selection of patterns to choose from.
Do you know how to use the Defragmentation Tool? It’s something you really should use regularly. Many users don’t bother with this, either because they don’t know about it or it sounds too complicated. In reality, it’s not hard to do, even for new PC users, and it will greatly improve Windows performance. Those of you who create a lot of files, or download a lot of stuff, really need to defrag regularly. What this does is free up space on your computer by organizing your files more efficiently. Go to Properties>Tools for each hard drive and choose defragmentation. If you do this frequently, it won’t take very long. It will only take a long time if you have a lot of data on your hard drive and you haven’t run the defrag tool recently. Windows can schedule the defragmentation program to run automatically if you set up a schedule.
